Checkbox to select multiple items from list and mass update
It would make the process of tagging and categorizing contacts much, much easier and more efficient if we could select via a checkbox, individual contacts or organizations that we would like to mass update, tag or even delete.

I absolutely need this feature otherwise I have to search for another CRM. A shame, because I like Capsule a lot.

If I need to send an email to a group of people who have requested information through the web, email or phone we just tag that person with "ABC email". At the end of the day, I list the contacts by filtering the tag and then I email them. Cool. Then, given that the email has been sent, I want remove the tag from the list that I already have active. Nope. Not allowed. Not cool. The McGyver solution is to go to settings and delete the tag and then while in settings create the exact same tag all over again! Sheesh. To the well meaning and helpful folks at Capsule - could you please explain why you are unable to address this? Is there a coding issue? Lack of resources? Second order consequences?

Seriously annoying lack of feature

Somebody in our organisation added a load of contacts and tags (about 1000) that we don't currently use. There is no way of deleting multiple items which is really making things difficult. How hard can it be to implement this?

I am leaving capsule because of the lack of this issue. I have contacted support and there is NO indication this is even on the radar.
If you have more than 25 contacts it is incredibly time consuming to do updates and with over 500 just ridiculous.
Shame as there is a lot to like about capsule and it seems like a simple thing to fix.
Goodbye Capsule. -

Efficient bulk editing of selectively chosen contacts/companies/tasks/whatever should be an absolute must.

Isn't this the solution?
=================================
No.
Maybe for some basic tasks, but it doesn't work with Data Tags for a start, making it much less useful than it could be.

Just re-posting a comment I made on a similar request where it was suggested that data tags should be added individually, instead of via mass update.
http://capsule.uservoice.com/forums/5384-general/suggestions/2130855-bulk-tagging-with-data-tags
I have suggested that the request be merged with this one, as there is clearly huge need for further development of mass update.
======================================Hi Josef,
Thanks for your reply.
If we are importing or updating dozens or more of contacts, you can see how unpractical that would be as a solution.
We have been using Capsule for a month now and feel that mass updates such as this is an area that lets down what is otherwise a very good CRM.
The fact that you can add the data tag via mass update, but not be presented with the data tag's fields seems very illogical, is time-consuming and worst of all, can lead to inconsistent data.
As an example, if a user uses mass update to add a data tag that asks for the date a patient last visited the medical practice, if you later created a list of all patients who haven't been seen for six months or more, anyone's record updated via a mass update would be omitted from the search results.
As you can see, in its current implementation, confusion and inconsistency can reign. I think that this needs addressing as soon as possible.

At this point, I cannot recommend Capsule and will start looking for a replacement due to this issue.

This would be so easy to implement. Such a joke that something so simple is still listed since 2009

Seems very logical and have found many essential uses after only using Capsule for a short while

I would love to know if this feature will be implemented soon. Otherwise I really need to look for another solution. Any other suggestions?

The lack of this feature makes an otherwise fast an intuitive system painfully slow. Please consider implementing.

We're just about to migrate to Capsule and I took this functionality for granted in a CRM... bit disappointing after 3 years it still hasn't been implemented either by being able to extract all records, manipulate in Excel and then upload back in or do it natively in the tool..

This feature is absolutely crucial. We have been asking for it since we started using Capsule over a year ago. It is now at a point where we are very seriously considering moving away from Capsule.
It is just not acceptable that I am unable to mass edit (e.g. update tags) for clients fitting certain criteria. Even being able to download the database, edit it, and then re-upload with updated data to merge would be nice.
For a CRM that seems to be fairly intuitive, it amazes me that this feature is still missing. My team of 6 users may be missing soon as well if this problem doesn't get fixed.

It seems like this discussion has kinda fizzled, but I think this still has to be one of the most important updates to be done.
The approach that "we don't have a timeline for this" really isn't appropriate. I'm changing my line of business, and I have put in 10's of hours setting up good relational tags and descriptive tags. However, I just want to look at a comprehensive list of contacts, pick those that I have no use for whatsoever anymore, and rid myself of them all at once.
Please reconsider taking action on this.
I'm going to wait to spend the time manually cleaning up my contacts, because I truly can't spend an entire day on something so trivial again, and it's not like I can just outsource this task to someone. This shouldn't be a luxury feature.
